Welcome to the MHSAA Coach Certification Portal

All MHSAA high school/middle school coaches (para-professionals, volunteers, assistants and head coaches) are required to complete a sports first-aid and safety course.

The National Center for Sports Safety PREPARE eLearning course is MHSAA’s preferred course. It takes approximately 2 hours to complete online and has a purchase price of $35. As a nonprofit, by using the center’s course, you are helping to fund ongoing sports safety initiatives. Coaches who complete the course will receive a certificate of completion. Certificates should be filed with your school athletic director or school principal.
